Bart Siniard Speaks to UAH Nursing Students About Medical Malpractice

July 28, 2022 Firm News

Attorney Bart Siniard was asked to speak to UAH nurse practitioner students about avoiding medical malpractice claims. The UAH director of the AGACNP program, Dr. Cheryl Emich said “overwhelmingly, students enjoyed learning about protecting themselves against future lawsuits and declared the lecture given by Mr. Siniard to be the ‘best interprofessional lecture’ in the program.”

UAH News recently published an article about the event on their website. Bart believes it is just as important to prevent medical errors as it is to seek justice for victims of medical malpractice. This is his second year in a row presenting at UAH about medical malpractice. According to the coordinator of the Family Nurse Practitioner Program, Dr. Amy Beck:

Preparing our students to be excellent nurse practitioners is our goal. We also want to be sure they have the skills and knowledge to reduce their risk of ending up in a malpractice lawsuit,” says Dr. Amy Beck, course manager for the FNP class. “Having Siniard Law as a partner in putting this learning activity together has been a wonderful experience for our students. We look forward to having Bart Siniard return every year.
